× Created by The Qaggiq Collective Directed by Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory

Kiviuq is the eternal wanderer, a legendary hero of Inuit stories from across the Arctic. As treacherous creatures wreak havoc in his world, he is guided by the stories of his ancestors and spirit guides to find his way home. Kiviuq Returns brings together Inuit music, drum dance, and elder storytelling in a contemporary retelling of Kiviuq’s journeys through the ages. Performed in Inuktitut, with screen-projected depictions.

“Performed by a corps of unique performers with talents you won’t find south of the Arctic Circle, it has that strong sense of larger purpose often absent from theatre.” THE GLOBE AND MAI
