THE TORONTO CHILDREN’S CONCERT CHOIR IS SET TO LIFT THEIR VOICES & LIGHT UP THE STAGE

The award-winning Toronto Children’s Concert Choir & Performing Arts Company (TC3) will be performing two incredible Gospel, inspirational, pop & cultural music performaces.

TC3 will be performing not only soul-stirring renditions of gospel and inspirational songs but also songs made famous by such stars as Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone and Brandy. Audiences can also expect to be present with original works, and soul-stirring Afro-Caribbean drum and dance. TC3’s special guest this year is Kurt McIntosh, a multi-talented local musician who’s innovative “Supercruisingtunes” Episodes on YouTube are a fantastic musical ride.

TC3 is the premier program of HopeWorks Connection Inc., and for sixteen years it has been using the performing arts to empower African-Canadian and urban children and youth. Comprised of up to 50 young people, ages 7 to 18 from across the Greater Toronto Area, TC3 is dedicated to developing and encouraging youth through inspirational song, dance, Afro-Caribbean drumming and academic support. Their choir repertoire covers everything from Gospel to Pop to 60’s R&B. Now in its 18th Season, due to its ground-breaking performing arts achievements and thanks in part to a grant received from the Government of Canada, the TC3 model is now being duplicated in Montreal and Halifax through the 150 Voices Project. Through this project, in June 2020, TC3 will be leading the way for 150 youth from all 3 cities to head to Ottawa our nation’s capital city for a week of performance, celebration, community service. On June 8 & 9th, TC3 will unveil its plans and the foundational partners & sponsors who are helping make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity possible. TC3 has performed for over 35,000.00 people including the #TorontoStrong event, toured New York, London, the Bahamas, Vancouver, Halifax and Montreal, appeared on television shows as Designated Survivor and Copper, and been on local and national television.
