Both hilarious and heartbreaking, New Magic Valley Fun Town is set in Nova Scotia in the pristine double- wide mobile-home of Dougie. With the help of his estranged wife Cheryl and his daughter Sandy, Dougie prepares for the arrival of his boyhood best friend Allan, whom he hasn’t seen in twenty-five years. Allan’s arrival brings much joviality and warmth, but as the evening becomes the next day, shadows of the past emerge and questions resurface about what things appear to be, what they really are, what we remember, and what we chose to forget.
