× Outlook Theatre is pleased to be presenting the Toronto premiere of Lauren Gunderson’s heartwarming play I and You at Tarragon Theatre Extraspace. Veteran actor-turned-director Marc Bondy (CAEA) leads a cast of two extraordinary young talents -- Abby Weisbrot and Jake Runeckles – who take on the roles of Caroline and Anthony respectively. Caroline and Anthony are high school classmates who come together unexpectedly to work on a class project and, with some help from Walt Whitman, John Coltrane and Jerry Lee Lewis, they discover a powerful connection that neither of them saw coming. It’s a story about youth, life, love, and the power of human connectedness. Outlook Theatre’s production of I and You will be stage managed by Virginia Cardinal with set and costume design by Emma Welsh and lighting design by Noah Feaver – all emerging artists in their respective fields.

Outlook Theatre was formed in 2014 to do four major things:
1. Bring under-exposed works by some of the world's greatest playwrights to the stage
2. Help new playwrights attract producers for their plays by presenting public readings of new work
3. Give artists in transition (ie. from actor to director) an opportunity to develop a new skill set
4. Showcase the talent of emerging artists

Outlook Theatre is a project-based company. We strive to produce one main stage show each year and one or two special projects. We work to tell compelling stories with great clarity and truthfulness. For us, the playwright is at the centre of what we do. We aim to play what is on the page, ;to discover why it was put there in the first place; and to shine a light on it for our audience.
